God loves YOU
Jesus said “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand”. John 10:28 NIV
For
as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for
those who fear (and worship Him-with awe-filled respect and deepest
reverence) him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he
removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:11-12 NIV
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. 1 John 3:1a KJV
The
Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will
rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over
thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 KJV
Jesus
said “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who
sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over
from death to life”. John 5:24
You
made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in
my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your
workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was
being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of
the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was
recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had
passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be
numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalms 139:13-18 NLT
Since
the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so
that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of
death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held
in slavery by their fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 NIV
But
because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us
alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by
grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. John 6:29 NIV
For
I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah
29:11 NIV
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV
Are
not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on
the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many
sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31 KJV
Both
the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the
same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.
He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the
assembly I will sing your praises.” And again, “I will put my trust in
him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.
Hebrews 2:11-13 NIV
Consider
the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say
unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field,
and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O
ye of little faith? Luke 12:27-28 KJV
How
blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our
Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in
him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind,
had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by
his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through
Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to
enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his
beloved Son. Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured
out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and
punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free,
either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for
everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took
such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a
long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed
up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.
Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his
eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall
purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. It’s in Christ
that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your
salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by
the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on
what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for
us, a praising and glorious life. Ephesians 1:3-14 MSG
As the Angel Gabriel said to Mary, “For no word from God will ever fail. Luke 1:37 NIV
God
saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for
this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good
things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s
masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the
good things he planned for us long ago. Eph 2:8-10 NLT
This
is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into
the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we
loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice
for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10 NIV
You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19 NIV
The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It's the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God-"Jesus is my Master"-embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!" Romans 10:8-10 (The Message Bible)
